      Admission for each seminar is $8.00 per person and each attendee will get a $5.00 coupon for use in the store. David will take you on a colorful tour of the most exciting perennials, ornamental grasses, groundcovers and other plants for your New Mexico xeriscape. Many were developed right here in Santa Fe and are only available from us. Just a few of the new for Spring 2012 plants include three of our 2012 Green Thumb Award winners: Brakelights® Red Yucca, ‘Fire Spinner’ Ice Plant and the Harvest Booster Perennial Collection. Participate in this inspirational lecture that will make you a true believer in the regenerative power of harvesting rain -- it will show you how.  Nate Downey will stress the gains of green gardening, such as beauty, shade, privacy and wind protection and focus on the joys gardening gives families, friends and neighbors.  Nate Downey, author of Harvest the Rain (Sunstone Press, 2010), is president of Santa Fe Permaculture, an ecological landscaping firm he founded in 1992, and has written a monthly column called “Permaculture in Practice” for the Santa Fe New Mexican since 1998.

Presented by Greg Tickle, landscape architect, greenhouse manager, and gardener.

Join us at our Albuquerque garden center for an interesting line-up of workshops.  After attending this series you will have an understanding that waterwise gardening will expand your choices of plants, enhance your landscape and the environment.

 All workshops are free but come early as space is limited.

Hunter will take you on a tour of projects that illustrate the principles used to create sustainable, colorful waterwise landscapes.  Presented by Hunter Ten Broeck; founder of Waterwise Landscapes Inc, designing colorful water efficient landscapes in New Mexico for over 20 years.

Spend the day at High Country Gardens beginning at 10:00am with Bill Jackel presenting "Practical and Easy Container Gardens" At 2:00 pm Bob Ross will present "Container Planting:  Beautiful & Bountiful". Bill Jackel, Bernalillo Production Manager and container garden expert.  And Bob Ross is a local Landscape Architect & Garden Consultant. Both garden experts will be on site to personally help with container garden design ideas.  We’ll even have "container potting bar" to build your gardens on the spot.  View special plants, pottery and displays of indoor and outdoor containers.

Learn about low water lawn grasses that give you the lush lawn look with a fraction of water needed to stay green. David will discuss the best way to start down the path of less lawn, more flowers and future water savings.
